CAREER PROFILE

Claire has an MSc in Wildlife Conservation and Management, following a degree in zoology. She has a particular interest in the botany of upland habitats and their management through re-wilding.

Claire has worked for E3 on a range of Phase 1 habitat and NVC survey projects, including production of a woodland management plan for Thirwell Castle for the Northumberland National Park and EAs and restoration schemes for a range of upland fringe opencast coal sites which require recreation of mire and heathland habitats to compliment an adjacent SPA and SSSI and to meet local BAP objectives.

She has worked on numerous Defra and Natural England licences, particularly in relation to development impacts on bats and great crested newts and regularly provides ecological input to BREEAM, Code for Sustainable Housing and Ecohomes assessments.
