Darryl Birch BSc TechArborA

Following a broad ranging career within the arboricultural industry, focussing on tree surgery, aerial access, tropical ecology, forestry and nature reserve management, Darryl joined E3 to provide arboricultural expertise for planning and development contracts.

Current projects include conducting pre-development tree constraints assessments, developing aerial tree and free-standing structure assessment techniques for protected species and assisting with general ecological duties within the practice.

As part of his continuing professional development, Darryl occasionally provides aerial access and logistical support to the BBC Natural History Units’ overseas productions. He also has a keen interest in disease diagnosis and the ‘body language of trees’.
