Some of the most enjoyable commissions have been for wider environmental projects where we have worked with architects, landscape architects, engineers, planners and archaeologists to research a site and develop cross-disciplinary, innovative projects.

Recent E3 commissions have included the production of restoration and management plans for designed landscapes at Bolam Hall and Cheeseburn Grange for private landowners, Hardwick Park for Durham County Council, the Ouseburn Parks for Newcastle City, and at the Gibside Estate for the National Trust.

For the river corridors of the Blyth and Lyne in north eastern Northumberland we led a multi-disciplinary team to produce an over-arching proposals for enhancing the nature conservation, historical / archaeological, landscape and recreational interest of the river corridors in a deprived coalfield area.

Current commissions include the creation of a management plan for an area of community woodland in south Northumberland, and planning a Heritage Lottery Fund project and management plan for East Chevington reserve for Northumberland Wildlife Trust. Both projects require extensive public consultation and have potential to combine nature conservation with the development of an important local community resource. Other projects include the management plan for Bantling Lime Kiln and creating a mangement plan and leading public ecological events in a Heritage Lottery funded community wetland project.
