SERVICES - Protected Species Survey

E³ Ecology has extensive experience of protected species survey, particularly with respect to European and UK protected species. Protected species surveys form a large proportion of our workload with surveys covering bats, otter, badger, water vole, great crested newt, crayfish, freshwater pearl mussel, reptiles and birds including Slavonian Grebe and barn owl.

The company has held numerous Natural England and Scottish Executive/SNH licenses with respect to development works affecting protected species, including works affecting bats, great crested newt, otter and badger. The team at E³ Ecology includes ecologists licensed by Natural England and Scottish Natural Heritage to survey for great crested newt, all species of bat, freshwater pearl mussel, white clawed crayfish and small mammals.
